Advertising Policy
How we maintain editorial independence while supporting free access to medical education.
Subspecialty & Advertisements
Subspecialty is a medical education platform providing board-style question banks, AI-powered study tools, smart review documents, and performance analytics to physicians and trainees. We are committed to providing this service for free and equally to all verified healthcare professionals.
To cover the costs of maintaining and improving the platform, we show a limited number of controlled advertisements from closely vetted advertisers. These advertisements are always clearly distinguished from our educational content.
Can advertisers influence content on Subspecialty?
No. Subspecialty maintains a strict separation between advertisements and our educational content — including question banks, explanations, study guides, AI-generated review materials, and performance analytics. Advertisers cannot and will never be able to influence the content of questions, answers, explanations, or any educational material on the platform.
Why are there ads on Subspecialty?
Our mission is to make evidence-based medical education free, accessible, and intelligent for every physician and trainee. Working with advertisers allows us to offer the full platform — including unlimited question banks, smart review, and AI-powered study tools — to all verified healthcare professionals at no cost.
Where do advertisements appear?
Advertisements may appear in designated areas of the platform, such as between study sessions or alongside dashboard views. Advertisements will never appear within the body of a question, answer explanation, or study guide. All advertisements are clearly labeled as such.
How do you ensure advertisements remain separate from content?
The educational content system and the advertising display system are fully independent. Questions, explanations, and study materials are authored, reviewed, and updated based solely on clinical evidence and board exam relevance — without any input from advertisers. Advertisements are rendered in separate, clearly marked containers that are visually distinct from educational content.
